Bright, intelligant, witty, caring and ambitious is what best describes Shoken's personality. Her high ambitions set a high stand for her to achieve. She can sometimes be a little hard on herself when it coems to failing set tasks. Shoken will not take anything from anyone not matter what their rank in the 13 protection squads, she feels that everyone should be treated as equals and that leads to her not fully respecting a captains someitmes. However she does know how respectful other shinigmai are towards captains so she will follow and keep quiet if it means she wont get into trouble. She would approach a captain like she would a friend and not bow her head in respects or call them formally. She likes to enjoy sake when she isnt on a job and is very sociable. She has never experianced a bond with the opposite sex nor has she had any intention to, so far. She doesnt see males to be attractive unless their personality stuns her. She has never had to rely on anyone, or been protect or saved by anyone she is pretty much a very independant young woman.
Shoken also dislikes her name, it was meant to be named after her grandfather who was an exceeding brilliant shinigami in the 11th division. She doesnt give out her name much and will sometimes only state her last name when asked. Shoken likes eating chocolate she is always caught eating it and yet she doesnt gain a pound from eating any of it. She has had chocolate convisactared from her and had to been hidden away from her sight. She dislikes anyone male or female that underestimate her.
Appearance: Shoken is a very attractive girl, she has an innocent look, with all her facial feature well proportioned. Her dazzling eyes are the first thing you notice about her. She however states that she is very much average looking and doesnt care what people look like but how they act around you. She stands at 5 10'' so she is usually as tall as most guys in her division. Shoken has light golden brown or tanned skin which gives her an ethnic appearance. She is of a slim build and wears the usual shinigami robes keeping her zanpakuto strapped to her back in a horizontal position.
Zanpakutô Spirit: 'Kumori Uchiwa'
Kumori means 'shadow dancer' which is what her zanpakuto spirit looks like, a dark shadow, her zanpakuto spirit is a very giggly little girl, she has large wings that are spead out from her back and has piercing red eyes. She likes to test Shoken pushing her to her limits and putting her in situations that she doesnt like. She is very harsh most of the time, not aknowleging any of Shoken's 'good' battles, if she does something good Kumori will just give a nod to Shoken. It seems that she is only trying to point out her worse habits and whats she's doing wrong, when in fact Kumori is only doing it to make sure Shoken achieves her dream of becoming a captain in the future.
Her inner world looks like a dark room or a cellar but it is filled with what looks like pipes and steel windings. It is very dark in her inncer world where many shadows are cast all around, relating to her zanpakuto name.

Sealed Zanpakutô : Her sealed zanpakuto is a double bladed katana it has a sliver edge to it, and a black hilt. The blade itself seems to create shadows alot even if there is no sunlight, it is mostly because of what her zanpakuto is based about.
Shikai Description:
Her usual and plain zanpakuto changes in appearance turning in to more of a fan shape made up of 6 blades that could completely cover Shoken and a couple more people. The tips of the fan are covered in thick and jaggered blades a chain is attatched to the bottom of the fan making it more agile to use throwing attacks. She can also defend from powerful attacks with ease. A speacialty attack from Kumori in Shikai that the fan can be closed up so that all the 6 blades that make up the fan close up ontop of one another and looks more like a zanpakuto. She then turns the blade on its side and when commanded the blades shoot out a wave of reiatsu hurtling towards her enemies. She can do this at close range of her enemies for an even more devestating attack.

Bankai: ''Zetsumei Kumori'' which means 'Shadow Death'
Shoken's bankai instantly gives her raise in reiatsu. Her fan like zanpakuto changed in to a single and very dark red and black blade any shadows around or nearby will grow or stretch, even her opponanats shadow. Its genral ability gives her high levels of force behind her attacks. The shadows that form around Shoken give her the ability to comand shadows to move or appeared anywhere she likes, the shadows can cause confusion for her opponanats making it appear as if Shoken has an army of shadows. If her opponanats are still and not moving she can distract her enemies attention onto her so that she can use a shadow to pin down her enemies by wrapping around their ankes and travelling up to hold them in place while Shoken delivers a final attack.
Her main Bankai's ability is to take control of shadows and manipulate them. But a special ability of her bankai is that it can create illusions to confuse her opponanats even more. If she can get her enemies pinned them she can create illusions using shadow to cover the area making it appear pitch black like it was a storm making the clouds turn black, when it really is light making Shoken invisble to her enemies. There is a weakness to using illusions, it drains her reiatsu quickly and puts strain on her and has only been able to use it twice in one battle without collaping.

They were both seated officers in the Division and fought bravely for many battles Soul Society had. This meant that Shoken lost alot of contact with her parents , so she lacked in some areas of communication. By the time she was 8 she was already making a start in practicing to become a shinigami, many times she had to watch her parents rush off to meetings and heated battles. When Shoken was a little older and in her early teens she became so used to being by herself that she didnt need anyone, she didnt need to rely on anyone. She became very independent, she didnt know any different other than to look after herself. When she was learning in the academy with other Shinigami trainee's she had picked up on how everyone made friends and she hadnt. Shoken excelled in the academy proving she was someone unique and had a talent and flair for Kido and fighting. She always got near top gradings and was sometimes made an example to her fellow trainees.
It wasnt long after that she was made an official shinigami, she was on a high that day when she was given a duty, to protect Soul Society from threats, she had a job to do now. But with one good thing happening another part of her life sunk. She was informed by some 2nd divisioners that her parents were killed in a war. Shoken never got to tell her parents that she passed on into a fully fledged Shinigami, she knew it was her parents dream for her to follow in their footsteps. Not having her parents around anymore seemed easier than she thought, she never really saw anyway but she was still grieving for them when she was but on her first ever mission in Karakura town. She was seriously injured because of her lack of concentration. She was taken back to Soul Society where she was treated by the 4th Division, she feared that her shinigami status was under threat. But somehow it wasnt, she had to prove that she could do her job. The next job or attack Shoken swore that she would make a difference and prove her worth she owed it to herself, and her parents. Then when an assignment came up Shoken was still not fully recovered from her injuries, but she, without and hesitation escaped the 4th Division to stop a hollow attack that was heading to the Senkai gate. Shoken, with or without injuries was going to protect Soul Society. She and some 2nd Divisioner's stopped the hollows easily. Shoken was convinced that she could do this shinigami job and now she wanted to get even stronger, which was when a highly ranked 2nd Divisioner who knew of Shoken's parents saw her doing all kind of jobs out in Karakura she was then put into the 2nd Division and has climbed up to be 3rd Seat.
Roleplay Sample: Shoken focused on the swarm of hollows before her. Behind the intriguing blue orbs that were her eyes, her mind was functioning in constant estimation and calculation, while her hand was boldly set on Kumori, ready to make her move any time to blow the mammoth-sized pests away.
A small tug on her shinigami robes drew her attention, and she looked down to meet the pair of watery and fearful eyes that belonged to the wandering soul she encountered. Her eyes softened, displaying a warm smile, wordlessly guaranteeing him that he would go unharmed to the end.
With that taken care of, Shoken looked back up to eye the hollows. Her right hand met her sword's hilt, and she drew out the blade that blossomed red under the ill light of the moon. Shoken was quicker than the hollow, much quicker and before the hollow knew anything, its arm was severed, it roared and screeched in that horrible way most hollows did.
