Sunset at the Beach

It had been awile since shed been down from the mountain, a day at the beach was what she needed...A lot of people had been visiting the temples, more so that before...which she found was quite odd.
Hikari Hiraku stood at the edge of the shore, letting the water cover her feet then drift back out into the ocean.
The bottom half of her deep pink-red kimono was socking from the sea water It was getting somewhat late, it was near twilight but she had four days before she returned to her home in the mountains. There was almost no one in sight, which she thought was odd too, a beautiful day, warm sunset, the weekend; she thought there would be more families and couples out by now, unless she was missing something.

Hikari shrugged it off and moved some hair that blew into her eyes behind her ear, she took in a deep breath and looked up at the sky. Though she was human...she still had some powers...she wasnt strong...but she could defend herself...Dispite her weak appearance.

there was a light music in the air as malikai sat back in his dugout. this place had basically become his home he had recived no orders from the soul society to return so he made no attempt to do so.

he played his violen that was litterally his shikai as a hobbie. and soon the music overhelmed the beach. he was looking out at the sunset thinking he liked this place alot really even thou he was a vice captain and it was inevetable that he would have to move back to the soul society.... he liked being homless and living on the beach. he wasn't hurting anyone or anything just injoying himself. he looked out and stoped playing.

"theres almost no one here?" his home being the beach malikai knew how strange this was there had been nights where he had stayed up late with random strangers drinking playing songs telling stories by his fire. but today there was almost no one. he looked out at a girl whearing a kemono and thought for a moment that it was the young vitani. but the coulers were wroung. he shook it off and went back to playing one day thou he needed to find that girl and beg for her forgivness.

the music was low and somber he sighed and put down his violen which returned to its dagger state he went and walked up to the girl he wasn't feeling right he was bored as all hell maybe a round of flirting would do him some good. "greetings im malikai the homless bard". he bowed "may i ask what a buetifull woman is doing out here on such a beutifull day".

From out of the blue Hikari heard music playing, it was beautiful but in a way eery...seeing that there was no one....
She was a bit hesitant to turn around or look for where it was comming from, she was a bit shy....well...very shy.
Being brought up by monks and kept away from the 'real' world..Hikari pretty much lived under a rock...
Her pinkish hair seemed to dance around her as the wind blew gently...
Then she heard a voice comming from behind/beside her, she jumped a little bit, starteled.
There stood a man, she could sence his spiritual pressure...so she was sure he had to be a shinigami atlease.
"U-Um...I'm Hikari....Hikari Hiraku, its nice to meet you, Malikai."
She bowed her head slightly to him then straighted back up and faced him. "Im here on vacation...and...Homeless?..." Hikari tilted her head slightly her eyes were almost oo innocent as they studied the man, she had really never met someone who was homeless...

malikai smilled "homless by choice maddam it allows me to meet so many intresting people". he took her hand and kissed it. malikai was raised in a noble home in practical isolation from the world becouse of this when ever he was on a mission he forwhent a home unlike most shinigamis who usually want a home and a job to him there was nothing better then being out on his own. he also had the manners of a noble for the most part... that day had been an error of judgement. he felt a pain of regret for young vitani but it didn't show.

"your on vacation well then shall i play you a song. my violen can reach any note of any style. so of course i take requests". he bowed once more "please allow me to make your vacation a good one my servace is always at the commaned of someone so stunning".

She smiled warmly at him, he seemed very nice...she didnt see what harm he could do...then again looks could be deciving...so she desided to just keep a bit of a guard up.
She blushed slightly at his comment, "I really dont listen to music...the only thing close to music is the monks chanting." she said with a half smile.
"Your...a shinigami, right?"
she tilted her head a bit, she was bitng a bit upfront about that, but she saw no harm in asking.

malikai was taken back by the question but noded "vice captain of the fourth division why do you ask". he then thought over her remark of monks chanting. "hmmm well then at least let me try to broden your horizens a little". he drew forth his knife standing strait he took stance as thou he were holding a violen "sing out alucardria".

there was the sound of feed back as if someone had put a microphone to close to a speacker. and then malikai was standing holding his violen. already in position to play. his light green eyes staring off into the distance. he began to play a couple of small melodies nothing siruis and staying within the violens actuall sounds. his violen could have acted as any insturment but that didn't seem nesasary to impress her.

"I asked cause i can sence your spiritual presure, and wanted to make sure." she smiled a little then shook her head when she heard the screatching sound. "Wow.."
Hikari looked at the violen for a momment and blinked, "Arnt most shikai's swords?"
This was a first for her seeing a weapond like this.
As he started playing she luned out the rest of the natural sound around them and listned to him play. The music was quite soothing to her; seeing that she hardly hears any.

malikai finnished his song set and ended his stance it wasn't a bad performance really and she seemed to have injoyed it. he contemplated her question about shikai's. she was right in a way most shikais are swords. he looked at his violen he had never questioned why it was diffrent then most shikai's.

"thats correct most shikais are swords but there are really two diffrent types of shikais. there are the phisical blades they are the most commen probably the more destructive. and then there are kido weapons like mine. alucardrias music is a powerfull tool if i wished it to it could drain your streangth away. even go as far as to make you ill or passout. its a non leathel weapon but a usefull one besides if i had to really fight id probably just run away. violence isn't my thing im a docter not a barbarian".

he took off his shoes and walked a bit into the water. watching the sun set "im thinking.. about dissapearing from soul society compleatly and just traviling the world i cant stand being in one place for any longer and the soul society only ties me down".

Hikari tilted her head nad looked at his instrument/weapond, it was interesting she had to admit, dhe didn know much about soul society, just the little that the monks taught her about. She had never heard of shikai's like this before, so she was interested; as he continuted to explain to her she tip toed with him. She was the opposite to him, she loved the mountains and monks, she wouldnt be able to leave there for too long, it was her home.

"Wount that lable you a traitor of some sort back in soul society though?"
Hikari raised her eye brow a little, if they did then he probably wouldnt be able to return if he ever wanted to...but she was unsre; she didnt know much. The sun was going down, it wouldnt be too long before it was dark, she heard a couple of kids on thier bikes riding home, calling for each other to hurry up. She tilted her head over and glanced to malikai.

malikai looked out at the sun set it was a beutifull evening. the sun set was aproching. he smilled "a traitor yeah thats probably what they would call me... but its not like they would care enough to go looking for me. im only a medic after all even if im a high ranked one".

soul society was never kind to the fourth squad he didn't get the same treatment as the lowers but that was only becouse he was a vice captain. he tried hard to think of anyone who would miss him or even care but there was no one. he once again looked over hikari once more she was cute almost beutiful in this lighting.

he shrugged "in the end theres nothing really for me in soul society at least here theres a world to travle and places to see. there are no real resons for me to return but none directly for me to stay".

"Im guessing fouth is medic?..well...thats kinda stupid for them to treat you guys like that then....I mean...If It wournt for your squad ingured shinigami would take long to heal...if it the injury werent life threatning..." Hikari trailed off, she thought it was sad and pathetic; in the human world doctors were respected...If he were to become a doctor in a small town or something he would be worshiped.
Hikari let out a lsight sigh, and moved some hair out from her eyes again.
"How long do you plan on staying in this town?" She tilted her head a bit in curiousity.

malikai sighed he hadn't really thought about that. how long would he stay here. he looked around the crisp ocean air filling his lungs. he loved this place but he knew the beach was only a temperary solution. "probably another week at best. theres someone i need to find and apoligize to after that ill be heading in towards the mountans or forst not really sure".

he shruged and thought over what she said about docters in small towns. his violen changing back to a dagger which he then sheathed. the idea of becomeing a traviling docter for money struck him. he could actually do alot of good in that way "how about you. you said that your on a vacation so where are you from... and how do you know about shinigami anyway".

The water began to feel just a bit chilly as it hit her bare feet, she wasnt a tall girl, 5'4; average. Hikari tilted her head to one side slightly and took a deep breath while gazing out into the ocean.
"Well...I live in the mountains, I live with monks and preistesses. I have no more family here, so I live with them now. You see, the Monks taught me a little bit about Shinigami's, so did someone else...I havent seen him in some time..." Hikari trailed off as she remembered the him. "By the way, if you dont mind me asking, who do you have to appoligise to?"
She straighted her head and looked up at him now, she was almost too curious for her own good sometimes.

malikai sighed thinking about what he did and how to explain it. "some one i took advantage of". he shook his head he was increadably regretfull of his actions. for some reason that night he had lost controll over his own body. he shivered not really deserving to live at the moment. "sorry id rather not go into details". he shivered again and began to walk back to the covered area he called home. "your welcom to join me it will be warmer by the fire".

Hikari felt bad for asking now, her eyes softned as she watched him walk off for a few seconds then he invited her to join him. It was getting cold and she had spent a good few hours out in the sand, some warm fire sounded good now. Hikari nodded slightly then skipped off trailing him. "Im sorry for asking by the way." She said quickly and softly; she really ment when she appoligised.
"Whats soul Society like?"
She asked in an attept to change the subject, hopefully that wouldent cause him any discomfort too.
