Shu is a tough character to figure out. On the surface he seems like a very laid back, easy going, duty shirking man who is very approachable and ambiable. While he is to an extent all of these things he is also a dedicated and hard working trainer who wishes only to become stronger and protect the ones he cares for. Shu can switch "personalities" at the drop of a hat, making it hard to tell which is real and which is a facade. Or are they both real or fake? Only Shu knows for sure the answer to that. Shu continually laughs and does his best to make everyone feel at ease and to help those that he can. However, he is not against kicking people in the ass to get them going at all.
Appearance:
Shu is a tall slender man standing at 6' tall but weighs only 150lbs. He is of a narrow frame with no extra fat at all. He is all corded muscle and his body has some very light rough scars on it. Shu's Shinigami robes look like regular robes but are very tight fitting, they do not billow and are not flowing like usual robes. Shu keeps his belt knottede on the right side, and his robes always look wrinkly like he has slept in them. Shu wears standard shingami sandals and socks.
Shu has very dark almost black brown hair that he keeps very short, like a long buzz cut. His hair always looks like he needs a trim as the back and edges around the ears are ragged and long. Shu has a normal sized forehead that has some small wrinkles. His nose has a right to left slope from being broken several times. His eyes are a little large and of a dark brown color. He has high cheeck bones and a square chin with a dimple in it. His face is utterly masculine with strong lines around his chin and nose. His face is softened however by his ever constant smile that creates two large dimples one on each side of his face. Shu has a very white bright smile that lights up his face.
Zanpakuoto spirit: This spirit is a two headed snake with seperate personalities for each Head. The left head which refers to itself as Matsuro (fate) is a pessimist, a true unbeliever of its users abilities, always quick to note flaws this head only divulges its set of infomation if tricked or provoked to say its user has done something of value. The right head however calls itself Yuigon (Will/Desire) This head is proud and distrusts its other head, while not totally opposite of Matsuro they often disagree. Yuigon will often help its user but demands payment, purpose, or a show of sheer desire. Yuigon praises thinking and determination, while Matsuro will often discount it as something disgusting and repugnant. The two heads are attached to a large body, like that of an anaconda, the snake is purple with silver diamonds on the shared body. On Matsuro's peronal part the color's are reversed silver body and it has purple dots. Yuigon keeps the same colors but the design changes to stars.
Sealed Zanpakuto:
This weapon is a dual Dao sword. This weapon acts as a single sword, but can be seperated to form two swords, however it is still a single sword and requires extreme skill to use a sword like this.
Zanjutsu technique: As Shu used a very unique sword he has had to master a very specific type of style. The first thing is that Shu is ambidextious and very agile. Next Shu has mastered a style of martial arts that known as Wushu. This style is rhythmic and dancelike, however it is very smooth and the Dual Dao swords flow effortlessly together in this style. However, Shu has also trained in the art of Choy Lay Fut, a less flashy with long circular motions and twisting body movements.
Shikai release:
Name: Nibaihebiseken (Double World Snake)
Phrase: Unfurl and Strike Nibaihebiseken
Form: Upon saying the phrase the two blades of the Dual Dao swords are put together at the hilt. the small chains at the bottom of the hilt now fuse and coil around the arm of the user forming into what looks like armor on that arm. The chain is infused with the weilders reiatsu and is damn near unbreakable. Nibaihebiseken can be used at short range as a two sided weapon or thrown for long range use, the blade spins like a buzzsaw. This zanpakuto can be controlled by the reiatsu in its chains meaning its user can change the flight of the blade even when not holding it.
Abilities: Nibaihebiseken contains a sort of venom in it. With each strike the body part that is struck feels like the blood is boiling. Each cut causes the blood vessels to burst and exteme pain at each cut made. Because of this the blood does not clot as quickly so more blood is lost with each cut. Enough small cuts can lead to death, but the larger the cut obviously the more damage the ability will cause.
Bankai:
Name: Kingu Naibaihebiseken Hanshoku
Upon release the swords unhinge and seperate chains forming around the other arm, each arm now is chain covered and holds a single sword. At the same time a snake head forms on the left shoulder, complete with fangs. Chains dance and flow supported by the user reiatsu. Each chain has a small set of blades at the end which look like fangs. When the User attacks with an arm, the free flowing chains around that arm also attack the enemy. Each arm usually has three extra chains. The extra chains are wrapped around the arm and waist of the user but like already stated are free flowing around the user.
History: Shu was never a living soul, instead he was born in the Seireitei, his parents living in the eastern district of the Rukongai all his life. His early years were rather normal having several friends and living the normal life of a soul. However, he always felt that he was destined for more something greater. His life began to change on a clear beautiful day. Shu at this time was about 15 or 16 years old. His family was beginning to prosper and were moving up in society. Shu was seeing more and more of the Seireitei, and it was on this particular day that Shu had his first encounter with a Shinigami. As Shu was walking around observing the shops and people with his friends he saw several Shinigami coming out of one of the shops in the area. The shinigami in question happened to be a very young and newly accepted Kira, but Shu was struck by his appearance and his demeanor as well as his respect by the people. Shu instantly craved to be a shinigami and began to research how to become one.
Shu of course had some previous knowledge of shinigami having heard all the rumors, but after his revelation Shu then delved deeper and deeper into the shinigami world finding out how to become a shinigami. Several years passed, and Shu had trained up his body and mind to enter the shinigami academy. Shu took his entrance exam into the academy and was rejected the first time. Shu was floored at his refusal, at this time Shu was about 20 and he could not understand his rejection.
Several more years passed, more training and mental preparation happened. Shu was now confident in his abilities, and this time he was armed with his own self confidence. This time would be different had to be different. Shu was in his final preparation of his exam when he felt something strange happening to his body. His stomach would churn and grumble and no matter how much water he ate he could not stop this feeling. Along with the grumbling came lessened energy.
Shu however perservered and was determined to take his exam. Upon entering the exam he was immediately noticed as a potential shinigami for his need to eat. His exam showed his maturation from the first test and he was then accepted into the academy. He was put into the normal classes where he was considered the top of his classes. He was not however considered special enough to get into the advanced classes.
Shu trained in the academy focusing dutifully on his studies trying his best to master each field. Shu was exceptionally talented in zanjutsu, taking on multiple students at once and quickly and easily mastering any lesson put in front of him. His potential was noticed, and he was offered extra lessons by the teachers, which eventually lead to his ambidexterity and mastery of the Dual Dao Swords.
While his zanjutsu was infamous in his class as much as he tried Shu could not muster the same level of proficientcy in the other areas of his training. The other bright spot of Shu's training was his Kidou, demon arts, training. Shu could usually form and master most spells given to him by his teachers. However, Shu did have to take extra time and personal training to do each of these spells, and it was not as fun for him as the zanjutsu training. Shu was a little above average hakuda and footwork training.
Shu was a bit of a loner in the school, making friends but keeping them a little at arms length as he was not used to having some of these people around. There were people from every level of the seireirei here, and Shu could not place where he wanted to be leveled.
As the time for graduation neared Shu finally made a friend who opened him up. Tok was a large quiet student who was most often Shu's best opponent in zanjutsu. One day after a particularly fierce training session, Tok simply without extra words invited Shu to eat with him. Shu taken aback accepted and what followed for Shu was the simple joy of conversation without any deeper implications. After that, Shu kept his eyes open and quickly made some new friends after Tok. Tok however, remained his largest and best friend.
After that his demeanor completely changed. Upon graduation Shu had become the beaming man that is known today. His whole class found him to be a much better man this way. With his graduation complete Shu now awaited his entry into the Gotei Courtyard Squads.

Shu quickly walked through the barracks towards the training grounds. The lights on the ceiling making the trek into outdoors blinding for a brief second as Shu entered the training area. The Sun was at its Zenith as Shu observed the other people training he took in his surroundings noticing the blossoms on the trees as he quickly scanned the grounds for his friend and partner Tok.
Tok was not a hard man to find since he stood at an amazing seven feet tall with very broad shoulders. Shu let out a large grin as he saw the large man across the courtyard. Shu hurried quickly to his friend and with a large grin as he picked up his bokouto said.
<<Its a wonderful day Tok, how ya doing?>>
Tok nodded not saying a word a small smile on his face. To most people this would have seemed cold but Shu knew the signs, that his friend was having a good day. Shu laughed a deep throaty manly laugh that turned heads.
<<that good eh? Well Im gonnna have to change that, you ready to train?>>
Shu stepped back as he talked getting into his stance so that he was ready to begin as he finished talking. Tok got into the same position and nodded his accent. He then ran forward with remarkable speed. Tok quickly brought his blade down in a strike.
*Crack* Crack* Crack*
Three loud hits were heard as Shu quickly parried Tok's attack, made an upward attack which Tok blocked, then Tok started another attack which was quickly reversed by Shu. The two men were now back to back as Shu twirled quickly bringing his sword down and across meaning to strike Tok across the chest.
