A small girl that was nine years old but appeared a bit younger then that, sat by the entrance a hospital. The girl was named Kaori, but had her soul and the other a teenager boy who had died and was attached inside of Kaori's body which they shared by her father who was a shinigami that died because of this. But the two never known of his death. But now, the teenage boy, Sangai, possessed Kaori at the moment. (With her permission of course.) Sangai had a strange attachment to the hospital ,the place where the two of them first met. It gave him an odd happiness, just being there made him feel good since it was the place he was given his "second chance". He oddly found himself drawing, an activity he use to love to do when he was a kid. He used to draw pretty and happy things or people he hated dying but for now just wanted to draw some events of his life that happened that was happy. Sangai drew several pictures of him and Kaori meeting for the first time inside that hospital, her first days of school, and her making some new friends. The first one he finished was odd, for it showed him, a blond teenager with bulletholes through his shoulder and head with a scar from the firy building he almost died in on his upper left part of his body, and the chain on his chest. Then there was her recovering and them bonding for the first time. Sangai spent some time smiling at his crappy art until he felt a reiatsu nearbye he never sensed before. That and ones of several hollows near bye. I gotta get outta here, he thought, gathering up his crayons and papers. Sangai then turned around to hear a noise. "Who's there?" He yelled.

Raziel strolled along the streets. His mind slowly tuning out the ruckuss of the human world around him. He found himself questioning his reasoning for coming to the human world. He didn't necessarilly despise it, but he found its presence rather annoying and saught no enjoy here in his spare time. He could never understand why people would choose this world over the Soul Society, or ever choose to come here at all. That raises the question of why Raziel was in the human world at the present moment? To this, even he could not say. He loved his position in the Gotei. It brought with it not only labor and hardship, but also satisfaction and enjoyment of his time there. To him, no vacation was ever needed from it, why would he? He found all the relief from his worries and stress in just that, his task. Assignments were his activities, his office and barracks his playground, and the respect he gained from his hard work, the only celebration he ever required. But what dragged him away that day, was something beyond all that. Something he couldn't quite put a finger on and tried to dismiss, but nagged him further and further on. He felt that something greater than he had called him here, like at a particular point in time, he was needed. And so, unable to quinch this insufferable bother, he gave in, taking a day of mental rest and hiking it to this town, where he has finally ended up. Though, if someone were to suggest at that very moment, that he was taking a vacation, he would feel insulted. So, despite how this feeling had dragged him from his home, it had failed to drag him from his work. So now, he prowled the streets, searching for disturbances, his mind calculating in concentration, performing 3 times the surveilance of some normal half-wit shinigami assisgned to patrol this area. He stayed focused, igoring the everyday hubub around him, in favor of his spiritual sense, letting it flow out of him, letting it guide his feet where it may, for despite his efforts so far, he did not feel he had satisfied the request he'd taken upon by coming here. His feet, unknowigly, guided him to the base of a large hospital. Something inside Raziel's mind shifted into place, and some light switched on. It had been so obvious. Hospitals are festering nests of spiritual energy, fueled by new spirits, the recently dead, and those who had chosen to haunt their place of death instead of moving on to the peace offered by Soul Society, another unconcious choice, that Raziel could not comprehend why someone would ever make. It a jolt of excitement, he sprinted toward and through the doors of the hospital, grinding himself to a hault in what was obviously the Lobby. He paused, allowing his senses to catch up with him... straight up, 11 or 12 feet... a small bobble of spiritual flourescense drifted in his mind. One flashstep later, and he was in the room. Bearing down in front of him was an old man, his face and body slowing drifting through reality, in and out, in and out. His legs twisted and filled with mist into a ghostly tail. He floated there, about a foot off the ground, leaning over the form of an old woman in a hospital bed. His face, darkened with both sadness and anticipation. Raziel stepped forward, and the elderly man's face darted up to meet his. " You..." he said, his head shivering oh so much, his eyes focusing on Raziel, looking him up and down. " I know... I know why you're here..." The man's eyes drifted back to the woman, his wife perhaps, sister, maybe even daughter? It was impossible to tell with ghosts at times, where this man had died at an old age 2 years ago, or 200, though it was most likely closer to the former, a ghost surviving the imposing presence of hollowfication for 200 years was no common feat. " We both know," the man said, not looking up," She hasn't much time, minutes, I believe..." Raziel took another step forward, the man's words hastened. " She was there... when I..." the man began to choke on his own words ," I just want to be here... when she... just so she can see me before we go... any moment now... If you can just let me stay a few more..." Raziel was on him before he finished his sentence. His right hand crossing over, and blurring the hilt of his sword around, and scuffing it against the forehead of the man. Raziel closed his eyes to the man's pleading face, as he drifted away, away to the Soul Society. The Shinigami were charged with the task of being guardians and balancers. One moment, two, a minute, who could say how long it would take for his soul to fall and consume that of the woman next to him, how long? Soul Reapers should not charge themselves with fulfilling such petty tasks, it endangers the entire operation. When he opened his eyes, the man was completely gone. The woman, asleep, whimpered as if she had just become extremely cold. Raziel couldn't help but have a small grin appear at the edge of his mouth. He stepped away, toward the window and through it, onto a small overhang dwarfing the doors to the lobby of the hospital, where he come in. He let out a deep breath, and gathered himself once more. Was that it, was that what had brought him here, to have a single soul pass on... he concentrated, trying to hone in one the feeling that had been plagueing him for hours before, was it still there? Yes. He grunted, somewhat in annoyance and somewhat in anger. When would this whole shinanigan end?! What did he have to do to get this thought to stop bugging him, what ? WHAT WHAT? Just then a slight high pitched voice rang through his ears, and he looked down." Who's there?", there, on the ground was a human girl, and she was looking... straight at him... She could see spirits. Raziel couldn't stop himself from just gawking. That's when his senses felt it, as she did... Hollows... near. He muttered, just loud enough for her to hear, " Do you... know where they are?"... He was at a loss for words.

Sangai stared at this man for a bit. He wore the same uniform Kaori's father wore, the black robes, and he had the strange strange weopan with him as well. How convinient, Sangai thought, he doesn't seem to notice my reiatsu is one of the dead . . . I learn something new everyday. Sangai somewhat smirked at this thought and how funny it was that a shinigami couldn't tell where the hollows were coming from.
"Heh, I'm not sure where they really are but they're near." Sangai smirked as he also added," You're the shinigami, it's your job to protect the living. You're the one who seems to have the stronger reiatsu, so you should know where that odd reiatsu and those hollows are."
Sangai didn't feel like to go after hollows at the moment. He would if this shinigami didn't do anything or got destroyed by them, but Sangai wasn't going to risk Kaori's body to use it to protect hollows if one of these death gods were already there to do the job. His job was to protect Kaori, but these hollows weren't doing anything to him or her yet. So why should he go after them so he and she can get hurt when they were ok at the moment?
Sangai then walked around in circles for a bit, humming to the song just released by Aya Hirano, and sat by the entrance again, staring at the shinigami. Come on, he thought, go kill them!

Raziel looked on upon the strange parade of action performed by this young girl. Oddly enough, her tone came out a little to gruff to be considered feminine. Had this been someone he was going to get to know, he would have asked immediatly; given the circumstances, however, he doubted this would ever be the case. Even as she talked, the girl seemed more focused on her own thoughts than the person she was conversing with. Raziel saw this as odd, but gave in to the idea that the chick might just be locko. " Back to business," he thought to himself. The feeling of hollow energy closing in was becoming more and more blatant. He could hardly help his situation, but he couldn't just wait for them to appear, because they might not be after him. It was a risk, he would not take, its the equivalent as using lives as bait. He scanned the area, from behind him, danker, the smell, the pressure pouring down on him. He couldn't tell where it was coming from, but it was enough to correctly identify it as hollow-like. This wasn't good, he was running out of time. The corner of his eye came down to look at the girl again, walking in circles, an arrogant and impatient smile tipping at the corners... the bitch. Raziel gritted his teeth, it seemed almost obvious that he needed her help, but in the current situation, and the attitude he felt emminate from her told him he'd missed the train of reasoning with her back at the station. There was only one option left, brute force... and brute force was good. He grinned, eager to whipe the smirk off of her face. He flashstepped, down and behind her. He grabbed the cuff of her shirt, and yanked it up. He held her, outstretched in his arm ahead of her, like a lantern in the mist. He moved, spinned about, letting her act like the arrow to his compass. " Come on, go ahead, tell me where they are." he commanded of her. Asking her nicely, there wasn't enough time for it, she wouldn't have listened to him anyway. This way, he doesn't have to threaten her, but atleast she knows he wouldn't let her down if she didn't cooperate.

"Moran!"Sangai yelled as loud as he can in his face, "They're surrounding the hospital around the surrounding trees and there's one one that skyscraper! Even the reiatsu of a goat can sense that!" Sangai had the habit of being rude to strangers, but he didn't like the way he was holding Kaori's cuff, "Now let go before I yell stranger danger!"
How ridiculous, Sangai thought, here I am in the body of a kid and here he is suppose to already know where the hollows are but asking me where they are. Where the hell is child services when you need them? People passed by him with no spiritual energy and gave him a weird stare, not being able to see who was binding him.
Sangai started to try to wiggle himself from the grip and thought, wow, it feels like a tight grip just to keep a kid in place. And weren't shinigami suppose to be nice to humans? Sangai finally came free from the grip and started running off. Man, he thought, someone's having a bad day . . . . . . . .

Raziel raised an eyebrow at being called a moron. Dealing with humans could be a troublesome feat for any shinigami, but especially for those in Raziel's place, he barely had contact with any of them. Still, this girl, who still spoke in the tone of a brutish tomboy, struck him as evidently odd. He began to lower her to the ground when she suddently haulted her ranting, and slipped out of his now loosened grip. Evidently, even primal brute force didn't work with people like her.
He stared out after her. He had all intentions of following her, for her assistance was still needed. Off all of his spiritual features, his sixth sense had been that which had taken the most brutal beating. Its like swimming underwater, but every time you came up for air, it rained in your mouth. Note to self, he thought, work on the metaphores. He sighed as his mind settle on reasoning with the girl as the most hopeful way of dealing with the situation. Something twinged in the back of his mind, scratching, as he started at a slow pace after her.
It came out of nowhere.
As the girl rounded a corner, a small tree had somehow bent over her head. Raziel's eyes widened, as off of a branch, a small monkey shaped figure, about half Raziel's size, leaned out of it and made a swimping motion at her. Its cruel, twisted mask of a face, dramatasized the moment, and it played out very slowly in front of Raziel's eyes like some old kabuki play as it reached its climax. The hollow dropping out of nowhere, just behind the girl and out of her site, as it clawed at her, ready to drag her off to the nether hells of its stomach, leaving nothing but a hollow shell...
The poor tree never stood a chance. It was thin, thinner than Raziel's arm. One of those sidewalk trees a government plants just to make up for the spread of urbanization. Somewhat in its adolescense, it eagerly split, straight from the middle up, as if struck by some backward bolt of lightning. The small canopy it formed flowered outward, twinned itself like a piece of brocoli, one side hanging limply to the left, unable to carry its own weight without the diverted side.
Raziel's hand pushed the girl, not gently at all, but not enough to knock her off her feet. As he brought his sword back to his sheath, he stared up. A small black whisp formed in the air then dissapaited, followed by screeching, as the chimp hollow darted up the side of the two-story building beside them, headed for the roof, now tailless. Raziel could only watch as it dived out of side over the edge, and out of his mind's eye as well. He grit his teeth, he couldn't let the thing get away so easily.
His eyes darted back to the girl, grabbing her by the colar once more and diving straight up in a shunpo. A split second later, the landed ontop of a apartment generator atop the building. It and the surrounding city mesas were clear, no sight of the thing. He turned the girl, seriousness, such that had not been there before, and grunted at her, the muscles in his neck slowly tensing and heaving.
" Where, point to it." his voice brought out heavily. It was gruff, with a tone that bordered on out-right fury. There was no anger for her in it, no slice of his violent righteousness out for her, but he needed her. Under these situations, he was out of his element not being able to handle it himself. And he had no time for bullshit.

(Ooc: Sorry to not tell you this before, but when Sangai posesses Kaori, no one can tell since he has to use her vocal cords...maybe by their personalities, but that's it. Oh well, don't edit ^^)
What the hell, Sangai thought as the collar of their shirt was yanked by the strange shinigami, really, why is he asking me for help? Aren't I the human and he is the shinigami, and aren't shinigami suppose to repect the living and dead and not try to force them to do things?
"I don't know where it is." Sangai pouted with Kaori's arms crossed, "And why are you relying on me so much to tell you this kind of info? This is your job to protect mankind, not mine. Why did you become a shinigami if you don't even know how to sense them? Your reiatsu is stronger then mine, for christ sakes!" Sangai truly couldn't sense it as if the hollow suddenly disappeared, "And let me go! You're choking me! I'm too young to die, I'm going to miss the Teletubbies new episode!"Sangai tried to not laugh out loud. Acting like an innocent little kid was so fun.
Sangai was really getting tired of this. He knew if he didn't get Kaori home, her aunt and uncle would get very angry if she didn't get home on time. It was getting late and all by the way too as the sun set up a beautiful sunset.

A small, ticking thump beat against the frontal lobe of Raziel's head. This little girl's drowning went on and on, and there seemed to be no end in site. ' to young to die'? Raziel thought, your incescant yelling will be the end of me first, make no mistake. But, as Raziel remained astute and respectful, standing there and taking it, all the while slowly releasing her onto the metalic floor below them that was the power unit. He kept up with her conversation, eager for some useful bit of chatter to appear, but continued to survey the surrounding area.
The hollow's presence in his mind had not dissappeared, it was most likely hiding. If it made a run for it, Raziel would be able to catch it straight out. That could be the only reason for hiding so close to them, it was waiting for him to trip up so it could get enough of a running start to make it home free. That meant that whatever type of hollow this little chimp was, whether weak or strong, it had atleast a capable intelligence, past that Raziel could not make out. It was definantly predatory, it attacked the weakest one in sight, when it could've easily waited and struck out against himself, the shinigami with the more attractive reiatsu. It'd taken a risk simply attacking the girl. Which means, Raziel thought, tilting his head to stare at the girl, his eyes squinting as he began to take the situation a little more seriously, that said hollow would most likely try its luck again if given the chance, it would try to make it away with both the girl and its life, instead of playing safe and just running.
It was a harsh way to look at it, but this gave Raziel an advantage. If he new the target, then he knew where to look. He didn't have to find where the damned thing was, just where it was going... He had to make her look... a little more appetising.
" Girl." he stated, looking down at her, " You seem to know an awful lot of things about my kind, I think it a matter of security for our work. I believe I will have to make an arrest and take you to the Soul Society for question, who knows what infernal source your information might stem from?" He looked at her in the corner of his eye, smirking a tiny bit. Blackmail, it was brutal and effective, perfect for dealing with a child. The threat of being spirited away to another world for who knows how long would be catastrophic for anyone her age." Of course..." he let the words settle in the air. " If you were to assist a Shinigami, such as... myself perhaps, I would have no reason to suspect you of fiendish purposes, and thus no reason to bother you further after this." He turned to her, and offered a gentle hand, spreading his message throughout his body language. " So, what do you say? We can deal with this minor problem, and you can just be on your way." He leaned a hand towards the openess of the building's roof, ushering her forward to go look for the creature.

As Sangai landed on the floor, he looked up at the shinigami and stuck his tongue out. What an asshole, he thought, he has no respect for humans. "I hope a bus runs over you one day, Mr. Shinigami!" Sangai said a bit jokingly since he felt a bit pissed and wanted to express some anger through words. He laughed softly, it was funny to hear that in Kaori's immature voice he could also use. As Sangai then thought a bit deeper, a bus wouldn't hurt a shinigami, would it? Unless is it was designed by the Soul Society, maybe. Or maybe a bus that was an illusion used by hollows to kill shinigami and humans.
Sangai continued to look at the shinigami as he sat up. What's he doing now, he thought as he straightened out Kaori's hair, he cannot possibly sense that thing, can he? And man, he thought, do I need to pee, Sangai pouted in his head, I sometimes wish Kaori was a boy so I can do it in a bush. I miss going in bushes when needed to when no one was looking, it saves trouble for trying to look for the restroom . . .
Sangai then scroweled at Raziel and yelled, "My names Kaori, if you can't say my name don't say anything to me at all! And I don't know that much, I'm just a kid." Sangai only knew about shinigamis from Kaori's father, which wasn't really much. Sangai's look grew more hostile as he saw the shinigami smirk. He seems like he's up to something, he thought. "Fine, I'll just help you for awhile since you seem to blame me for something. But oh, what a cruel thing, judging! Tisk tisk tisk, shinigamis should not judge a book by the cover!" Sangai said dramatically with the back of his right hand on his forehead. Must . . . not . . . laugh, he thought. Suddenly, he pointed behind the shinigami, "He tried to sneek up to you, that hollow....."

Raziel, repeating the situation with the pounding headache that spawned from this little girl, straightened up as she began her roundabout trip to getting to the point of the conversation. It began to stir in his mind that a trip to the Soul Society might do a world of good for this kid, show her how and why she should be respecting the Gotei. But, sadly, doing so might be a tad bad as far keeping his image up. If he went around with rumors of an actual arrest on a spiritually aware human, some embers might get stirred up.
Ironically, it was just when he got into this deep thought, that Kaori finally finished her tantrum. Just as Raziel's attention was waning, she gave out the information. What was it she said, again? Raziel began to recreate the words in his mind, having missed their meaning the first go around.
Ok... first, she was pointing behind Raziel, obviously a sign he should turn around, unless she had been pointing AT him. ' sneak up ', sneak attack, an ambush, who? Us? Did she already guess that he was using her as bait, wow... maybe he should have put a little more thought into manipulating the elementary school student, for future reference. ' holow...' ... wait... wha?
Raziel's senses snapped to attention following the prickling of the hairs on the back of his neck, he began to crane his head toward the thing, as it lunged off the side of the ledge of the building, claws extended, going for... Raziel? Why him? It should be avoiding him... But now wasn't the time to think over such facts. He began to side-step, ready to intercept it, but dammit, the time he'd spent thinking over the girl's words had slowed him down to much, there wasn't much time, he had to move!
And leave the girl?
No. He snatched her in his left hand for the third time that day. Brought his right hand down and grabbed his katana's hilt, sword and sheath in all, and spiral forward in mid air. He brought the blunt weaponry down upon the side of the power unit in an over head swing, letting his grip slide off of Kaori for a moment, as the sheath on Yahane crunched the shiny metal generator, a small second later, Raziel had landed on his feet, Kaori safely landing back into his left arm, letting her slide onto the gravel covering of the roof at her own pace. Across the street, lying in a hump on the sidewalk, was the generating, flatened, having been hit with Raziel's blade on one side and landing via gravity on the other, it had become something like a silvery Go piece. Beneath it, in the reach of Raziel's eyes, he saw a black whisp disperse into the air from under the generator, significantly bigger than earlier. Raziel could see this all, because now there was no generator blocking his view of the street, it had been ripped off of the roof and hurled to the oppossing sidewalk. A little excessive, but Raziel wasn't one for killing hollows with his blade, he didn't want the blasted things being redeemed.

"You're slow," Sangai insulted, "How the heck did you become one of those shady shinigami." He then screached as he got picked up, "WHAT THE HELL?" Sangai screamed, a bit surprised, then noticed the guy was trying to help him and Kaori. Sangai then felt himself almost slip out, which made him panic for a bit since he was afraid for Kaori's safety. "FUCKER!" Sangai yelled ad the shinigami in distress as he was shocked again. When he was caught, he just glared at him and mumbled something about being careful.
Sangai stared a bit off into space, feeling the hollow's power. He didn't want to struggle out of the grip and fight them, risking Kaori's safety just for that, instead he made a quick shift with Kaori. "Huh, how did I?...Oh yea! Sangai, what did you do this time? And why do I need to pee so badly?" The real Kaori whispered to herself. (Really to Sangai.) "It's a long story, but there's no time for that! Try to use your power of illusion to make it appear to the hollows and that shinigami our reiatsu is bigger and stronger then it really is so we can scare them off!" Kaori heard Sangai's voice echo through her head. "OK!" She said as she concentrated, soon leading to the surrounding hollow or hollows left the area. After that, Sangai was in control again. "Wow," He said," I wonder where did they go?" Sangai then pretanded to look confuse.

Raziel stared akwardly at the little girl. The rush of adreniline did not mix so well with having to follow some of her words by whisper only. She was most definitely weird, of course, weird even for a spiritually aware human. She'd gone from finally cooperating with him, to cursing him, to talking to herself pretty damn seamlessly. And, it might have just been Raziel's mind, but he felt a slightly familiar tug from his spiritual sense, it was a streak, like something in the corner of his mind's eye, and it reminded him of the gotei... just a bit.
' I wonder where did they go? ', she said. He ' hmph'd under his breath, searching from side to side. It might have been the sudden rush of his power, but it seemed something finally unclogged from his mind, he began to feel presences, even those she had mention. More hollows, and they all seemed to just be moving away from their current location. But, for some odd reason, they weren't running as if trying to escape something, they were just moving away, at an unextrordinary pace. Definitely odd.
He was going to thank her and be on his way, but something caught him. It had gone unnoticed for a few moments, by Raziel's now responsive, un-fogged sense, but now that he'd settled a bit, that which was right under his nose, became obvious to him. He stared down at the girl, it was strange. She seemed normal and all, but this new piece of information coupled with what he already knew about this girl that could see spirits led him to think that something was in need of investigating.
" You're dead..." he said, his eyes widened as he looked down on the girl. Even to Raziel, this was not exactly true. Not only was the smell of a dead soul LEAVING the girl, but he could easily feel the heat vibrating from her most-definently alive body. Living and Dead, at the same time, Raziel had never heard of such a thing. What should he do? The girl didn't seem dangerous, and for the most part the Gotei let sleeping dogs lie as far as spiritually aware humans went, but this was different. A human, whose affairs they were suppossed to stay out of, took the same form as those of the dead, who they were to ferry to the Soul Society.
Raziel was confused, but he did what he thought he had to. He was fairly certain that the soul funeral would not work on her, so he took a more roundabout way of action. He lifted his finger at the girl, pointing it down toward her solarplexis, as he did, out of nowhere a small black butterfly landed on his shoulder.
" Six pillars of light," he chanted, letting the binding take effect on the girl." You are now under investigation by the 13 Gotei Defense Squads, help us help you."
