I decided to check out Karakura town, downtown to be exact.
I'm not really used to all these tall buildings, but that wasn't a problem.
I was on a mission to find a stray soul to send to the Soul Society, but as I walked any further, I sensed a strong force in the area, probably just a hollow.
To my surprise, it was actually an extremely large hollow, which I knew was a menos grande.
I obviously knew that it was huge, but slow.
Normal slashes with my Zanpaktou would not work, so I decided to kick it up a notch.
"Separate and Decimate, Zan-Shi" I yelled
My Zanpaktou transformed into a brilliant naginata with jagged edges.
"Gakurai Roshi" was what I yelled once the transformation was complete
I threw my naginata at the menos' head, and used the wind to increase the speed of the throw.
The menos was somehow able to dodge the attack, and was preparing to fire his special blast, called a cero.
I jumped and caught my Zanpaktou, but I had to act quickly.
I then yelled, "BANKAI!!, Zan-Shi, Batsumori Sanamaigetsu"
My naginata now has a blade on each end of the staff, and my hair is a brilliant white.
Speaking quickly, I said, "Moreno Hasa Torodate"
Lightning started to discharge from the naginata, I could have used it to attack, but in this situation, I had to use it for defense.
I spun the naginata quickly, creating a electromagnetic shield.
The blast of the cero hit the sheild with great force, but was able to hold up.
After the dust receded, I proceeded to use the lightning offensively, and shot it at the menos' head. The lightning bounced right off its head.
"Damn it", I thought
I decided that I should downgrade back to my Shikai form and use my second ability.
I yelled "Yurama Hisuke"
I hurled the spinning naginata at the menos' head.
The naginata split the menos' mask down the middle, and it disappeared in an instant.
I then realized that this was my first victory as a shinigami, and I had a strong sense of satisfaction.
My mission wasn't done, however, because I still had to find the stray soul.
It didn't take very long, as I found him in the middle of the crosswalk during rush-hour.
I explained the situation to him, and he was definately willing to take the leap to the Soul Society. With a swift thrust of my Zanpaktou, I used the Soul Burial technique to send him to the Soul Society.
With nothing else to accomplish, I decided to return to the Soul Society, with my first accomplished mission in hand.
