[Haku Shinen]

Haku knew that Ravana's shikai was even much stronger than Haku's Bankai. Haku didn't want to waste his bankai, but it was his only answer left, because of the special ability of his bankai. He had to think fast because his captain was already in shikai which was nothing but a nightmare begging for Haku to fall asleep. Haku jumped from behind Ravana, about 20 feet, to keep his distance. He had to do this so that he could think. He thought fast and went for an attack with a double flashstep. The process was simple. Haku flash stepped right in front of Ravana, and flash stepped behind Ravana, to make it seem as if he was sneaking up on him. He appeared in mid slice, but he was already in the process of another flash step, so it was basically a double sneak attack. It was thought up right at the moment. Just as the last Flash step was conducted, he appeared in mid slice, and in a fast one. Just in case the attack would be countered, Haku said "Bakudo number 39! Enkosen!" Haku said with a strong voice. This would allow any attacks to be blocked already, and his slice may or may not have been completed.

Ravana smiled at Haku's attempts, but brought up a wall of blue ethereal flames to block his attack, not having to turn around to block it. "Hmm, that was decent, but just too flashy, your attacks can't be so complicated that you are unable to know how effective it will be." As he said this, Ravana raised his sword "Like this, observe." With that, Ravana slashed his sword at Haku, though still a few meters away from him, and shot a wave of the blue ethereal flames at him from his sword. The attack was fast, but not as fast as it could be, allowing Haku a short amount of time to think of a counter measure.

Just as haku saw the flames coming at him he quickly sidestepped moving fast enough so that the flames would just move right past and not hit him. "Your power is unimaginable... How could I ever improve my Shikai and bankai like so?" Haku asked his captain. He was still holding his blade firmly. "I need to know. I can't let you be a strong captain, with a weak Lieutenant." Haku straightened himself and looked at Ravana with a look of determination and an open mind.

Ravana smiled as he lowered his Zanpaktou "Heh, don't worry Haku, you are very strong, and I imagine that your Bankai is even stronger." Yes, Ravana knew that Haku had achieved Bankai. "But all I can do is train you, which will help, but the only one who can help you get stronger is already with you, it's your Zanpaktou's Spirit; the closer you are to it, the more powerful you shall become in battle." Ravana could tell that Haku would make a good addition to his squad, and was glad to call him his Lieutenant, despite what Haku might have thought of himself.

Haku normally didn't smile when he was with his squad, in a serious thing such as a battle. But to hear those words put a slight and rare smile on his face. The shikai of his zanpakuto vanished, and turned back to regular zanpakuto. He then sheathed the blade. "You haven't seen my bankai though. How would you know how strong it is?" Haku asked as he sheathed his blade. Frost spat out of the sheathe like it would any other time it is sheathed and unsheathed, and what not.
