Not at First Sight

[Ravana]

As Ravana sat at his desk, he shuffled through a large stack of papers, reviewing the heads of each. Unlike most other captains, Ravana was actually done with his paperwork, like always, as he always tried to finish it ahead of time, allowing him to have longer to relax. As he put the stack of papers down he sighed a bit "Hmm, I really do need to start on getting my seated officers, but damn, i need some candidates first" he said to himself, resting his head on his hand. Suddenly he sat back up quickly, remembering something "Oh yeah, I got a new member coming in today, now, what was her rank again?" he thought out loud. Although it might not always seem like it, Ravana was actually a pretty proficient captain, he just sometimes acted...well, a little bit different.

The wind Began to Pick up Slowly as a Shadow begin to make it's Way toward's Ravana's door. Through the Door Came a Woman With long green hair and her Own Styled Shinigami Garb, She also had blue beautiful eye's and Her green hair had a frog like barette. As the Person Walked in further she came up towards Ravana. and Bowed Slowly... "Hello Eight Division Captain... Ravana... I Am your new vice captain, Kochiya Sanae. It is a Pleasure to meet you". Said Kochiya With a Peaceful and serene Welcoming smile on her face.

As Ravana looked up to see his new Lieutenant, his heart almost skipped a beat. "D-damn, she's hot" he thought to himself, using all of his self control to keep himself from blushing, or staring. He then stood up, smiling a bit, and bowed back a bit, showing respect "Ah yes, welcome to my squad Ms. Kochiya Sanae" he said respectfully, somehow able to keep what he was thinking from affecting what he was saying. As he stood back up, he couldn't help but blush a bit as he looked at her again; knowing that this would probably end up for the worse. However, he could not help himself. Quickly, trying to cover his blush, he picked up a pile of papers and held them in front of his face as if he were looking at them. "Er, so anyways, I'm sure you'll make a fine recruit to squad 8."

Kochiya Slowly blinked At Ravana. as she seen him looking her up and down. For one. she looked at him closely. the memories of him. coming back in her head. She became enraged slightly. "BAKA!" She said as she slapped the Captain in the head. She then walked over to the desk with the paperwork. Sighing deeply. She Looked back up at ravana. "Already Here and You Are Checking Me out. Hpmh..." She then began to start doing the Paperwork she seen on the desk. a bit annoyed

Before she slapped him, Ravana blinked quickly, noticing the anger in her face only a few seconds too late. SLAP! Ravana fell back, a red mark in the shape of Kochiya's hand appearing on his face. "O-oww, damn, w-what was that..." he started, before quickly shutting up. "D-damn, guess I really do fail when it comes to the ladies" he said to himself, under his breath. Sighing, he quickly got back up and went back to doing his paperwork. "Damn, maybe I should just give up when I'm behind..." he mumbled to himself under his breath. Suddenly, however, a smile crossed his face "Heh, no, I won't give up, I'm gonna try my hardest" he thought to himself "Even if it means getting hit a hundred times" he said triumphantly, but accidentally out loud.

~Kochiya~

Kochiya Sighed as she went and glared back at ravana... "What was that!?", she Said glaring at him deeply. thing's weren't quite turning out well for the first day. For these two to get along together as vice captain and captain. Kochiya sighed as she looked at him... as she sighed... "Do you not remember me ravana?", she said looking down a bit sadly. continuing to stack up the paper's and do her own share of work...

[Ravana]

As he heard Kochiya's voice, Ravana's memories came almost flooding back to him.

Flashback

"Hey, Kochi, over here."
"Uhhh, why are you always so excited Ravana?"
"Heh, that's why."
"What? That's just some shinigami."
"Yup, exactly, that's cause one day, I'm gonna be a shinigami, and a captain at that"

End Flashback

"K-kochi, is that really you?" he asked, looking at her almost in disbelief. Ravana couldn't believe that he had forgotten about his childhood friend, and felt really stupid right about now. "I-I'm sorry Kochi, it's just, well, it's been a while, and you've changed a lot." He then smiled "I mean look at you, you've grown ten times more beautiful since I last saw you" he said with a grin.

Kochiya Blushed, dropping some of the papers to the floor by mistake. She looked back at ravana with a Smile. She knew he would remember, If anyone else. he was the one who showed her how to be compassionate and be Strong and Achieve Your Dreams no matter what. "Heh... I'll admit you've grown A Tadbit handsome yourself. A TADBIT...", She Said licking her tongue at at him. She then finished her papers in Little to no time. She was in Denial at What she said, In All Actuality She thought ravana had grown to be very Handsome. But She Was Alway's one to hide her feeling's, And this time was no different.

Ravana smiled, glad to be reunited with his childhood friend. Despite being attracted to her, Ravana himself was clueless to the fact that she might like him too. However, that was not the first thing on his mind at the moment. "Heh, well I'd hope so, I mean, you're much taller then I remember you being, not to mention much more well developed" he said, still smiling. Despite his usual shyness around females, something about his childhood friend Kochiya put him at easy, and he felt much more relaxed around her. He then grinned as he stood up "Heh, it's just like I told ya that day, I did become a captain."

Kochiya blushed, at ravana's comment about her developing more. but she seem brushed it off as she continued to do her work. she was happy that he remembered her. "Well among anything i am glad you got to acheive your dream it will be a honor to work with you Captain ravana". but she then looked back at him with a goofy looking sort of look. "Or ravvy-Chan" she said licking her tongue out.

Ravana quickly takes on a look of mock sternness "That will be captain Ravana to you" he said jokingly, laughing a bit. Quickly remembering something, Ravana opened up a drawer on his desk "Here, this is for you" he said, handing Kochiya the lieutenants badge for squad 8 "I believe that this is yours now." Despite being attracted to Kochiya, Ravana was still clueless to the fact that she might like him, just as he had always been.
